September 2024

Time flies. And four years are already gone.
WATSON is wrapping up its activities and wants to share this moment with as much friends and colleagues as possible.
For this reason, we decided to organize a final online event.
We will be happy to share the outcomes of the last four years of WATSON’s work with you, and to enjoy talks and posters on our favorite topic

Information

The WATSON Final Online Action Conference will take place the 10, 11, 12 September 2024 from 14:00 to 17:30 CEST
Each day is organized by one of WATSON’s working groups, which also present the outcomes of their activities
We have invited speakers, poster sessions, and informal meetings on specific topics

Registration is now open and will close the 12 September 2024.
Participation is free.
Register here!
Please note that the registration for the social event will close on 2 September

Sorry, abstract submission is closed.
For any query, please contact us at watson.ca19120@gmail.com

Invited presentations are 12 minutes (with up to 3 minutes of questions).
We ask you to briefly join us between 1;00 and 1:30 pm on the day of your presentation to double check that the microphone, camera and screensharing works well. We also ask you to send us your presentation (or a link to your presentation) by noon on the day of your presentation as a back-up.

Each oral presentation is 8 minutes long (with up to 2 minutes of questions).
We ask you to briefly join us between 1;00 and 1:30 pm on the day of your presentation to double check that the microphone, camera and screensharing works well. We also ask you to send us your presentation (or a link to your presentation) by noon on the day of your presentation as a back-up.

Each poster presenter will have their own breakout room where you can show your 1-slide poster (landscape) and people can come to visit you. You are expected to be in the poster room from 16:00-17:00. Please prepare a 1-minute (maximum) teaser to advertise your poster as well. We will start with these teasers at 16:00. To make this part run smoothly, please send us a pdf of your 1 page poster by midnight the day before your presentation.
You can also prepare a few additional slides in case you have a personal conversation with someone who wants to know more about your work. However, we ask you to mainly display your 1 poster slide so that people can join and leave the breakout rooms and browse through the posters as they would do in a physical poster room.

Every day, we will award the best-looking work and the most novel study.
Every participant will have the chance to vote online.

Each conference day ends with informal social events. These social events are ~30 min meetings where people who work on a certain topic or want to know more about a certain topic) come together and meet each other. Each social event is organized by a chair. Please sign up for a social event (max. 1 per day) when you register for the conference. Note that registration for the social events closes on September 2nd.
