Igor Karlović spent 8 days in September 2021 in Short Term Scientific Mission, hosted by dr. Tjaša Kanduč and dr. Polona Vreča at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Let’s see what he has to say about his STSM granted by the COST Action WATSON!

„I’m Igor, PhD student at the Faculty of Mining, Geology, and Petroleum Engineering in Zagreb, and currently employed at the Croatian Geological Survey as a research assistant. In September 2021, I had the opportunity to visit the Jožef Stefan Institute as part of the Short Term Scientific Mission. The 8-days visit was realized thanks to the COST Action WATSON and hospitality of host researchers, with whom I studied the water cycle and carbon cycle interaction and dynamics in the critical zone. This visit brought new insights related to my PhD thesis, which was recognized by my mentor and STSM hosts, resulting in a partnership between the Croatian Geological Survey and the Jožef Stefan Institute.“
